Dr. Evelyn Murray Drayton

evelyn murray draytonEvangelist Evelyn Murray Drayton holds a doctorate degree in Christian Counseling and is an ordained minister.  She is an acclaimed author of eight published Christian books, inspirational speaker, and a recording artist.  As a compelling advocate for personal empowerment, Evelyn is recognized as an encourager by many.  She is an excellent leader and has helped to catapult other ministries to the forefront.  Her prolific words are soothing, but powerful, and have captured the hearts of many.  Dr. Drayton is a woman of character and integrity.  Having survived a 2013 head-on collision near-death experience, she is your total package, offering you support for spiritual and emotional healing to help you overcome adversities and challenges in life. She inspires, encourages, and empowers you to first seek Christ and reach your full potential and pursue your possibilities.

Multiple Callings

Dr. Drayton counts it a privilege and an honor to share the Gospel with others through writing books, award-winning poetry, and songs; but her heart is teaching God’s word.  Her writing is an effort to inform others of her spiritual journey– trials and triumphs. She aims to bless the life of others using biblical principles and her gained knowledge through life experiences. Her most recent song is “Miracles Are On My Mind”. Her eight (8) published books are titled:  I Had to Die Exposing Witchcraft in the Church, Silent Speaker, Feathered Wisdom, Sweet Success After Bitter Defeat, Watermelon Faith, Beyond Our Scars, And Suddenly…, and her very latest book, Anything’s Possible: the 47 Day Prophecy. 

Dr. Drayton is a sought-after speaker and has appeared as guest on several television shows including the award-winning national and international artist Babbie Mason’s show Babbie’s House.  She has been a repeat guest on Atlanta Live, Nite Line, and Club 36 and has graced the stage as one of the opening singers for the late gospel artist, Lee Williams. 

South Carolina Native

Evangelist Evelyn Murray Drayton, award-winning author, was born in Mullins, South Carolina. After the early death of her mother, she was reared by her grandparents in Manning, SC. She overcame many obstacles that were targeted to literally destroy her life; but God manifested Himself to her as a Mighty Deliverer.

Sister Drayton is a graduate of Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina where she received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and graduated Magna Cum Laude.  She also matriculated online at Erskine Theological Seminary and graduated from Cathedral Bible College in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with an earned doctorate degree in Christian Counseling and is listed in the 2007 edition of Who’s Who Among Colleges and Universities.

Ministering

Dr. Drayton has traveled and ministered extensively proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her travels included being guest speaker for “Worship on the Waters™” Women’s Conference aboard the Carnival ship that sailed to Cozumel, Mexico.  Some of her recent honors include: Celebrate Literacy Award recognizing her contributions to literacy in the Carvers Bay communities of Georgetown County; 2010 African American Woman of the Year Award sponsored by the Georgetown District AME Church Sons of Allen; honored by the Helping Hand spotlight sponsored by The Georgetown Times community newspaper for her services as a community organizer.  In addition to hosting her own television show called TELL SOMEBODY, she has served as TV host for another small television program and has appeared on several other television broadcasts. She has also conducted numerous live radio interviews.

Dr. Drayton is available for preaching engagements, conferences, and workshops. Her hobbies are reading, writing, and sharing the Gospel with others through preaching and teaching others how to apply the Scriptures to their daily living. She is active in the Plantersville community of Georgetown, South Carolina where she and her husband, Russell, reside. Together they have two sons, Justin and Nicholas. They are also blessed with twin grandsons, Dustin and Jonathan.
